Aging Wrinkles
The changes that occur as we get older are both in appearance and in how we function. However, aging is not something that happens at the same rate in all people, although all of us do age. The part of aging that happens just because we are older is called intrinsic. The two things that are recognized to cause intrinsic aging changes are direct changes in the tissues themselves which cause a changed appearance, or changes in other organs, such the organs that produce hormones. An example of an intrinsic change that happens in the tissue itself is the graying of hair. Hormonal changes, such as the change in the secretion of sebum in the skin, happens because of decreased production of androgen hormones elsewhere in the body. But there are many features of the aging process that are the result of external or extrinsic factors. Prevention is avoiding these extrinsic factors that can increase the aging process. And, of course, there are specific treatments that we can have done, which will alter appearance. We will review here how aging happens, and how this affects some aspects of our appearance, and how aging can be prevented. Aging of the skin is called atrophy by doctors. Visual and microscopic changes appear with a decrease in the connective tissue of the skin. Skin appears rougher, finely wrinkled, soft, and dry. The lower layer of the skin, the dermis, becomes thinner. Veins and other structures in the skin can appear much more noticeable because of this change. Small, red blood vessels can appear in numbers. The skin can bruise easily, look fragile, and doesn't heal as readily. Age spots, or liver spots, in common language are called lentigos by physicians, and appear in ever increasing numbers on sun exposed skin. The color of the skin changes, and gets a yellow-grey hue. The skin has less elasticity, and is less firm, with sagging. The color or pigment of the skin changes as we age. Discolorations show up as darker pigmented spots, on hands, face, back, chest, and legs. Studies have shown that over 50% of people over the age of 45 have these spots. And studies done in heavily pigmented people indicate that pigmentation increases with age in sun-exposed areas and affects men more than women. Doctors often categorize aging skin. We have provided you with the classification system so that you can know where you fit in. What Skin Aging Group are you? Skin Aging Classification:
Other Effects of Aging Prevention Importantly, smoking is as injurious to skin as the sun is. Smokers face a five-fold (500%) greater risk of skin abnormalities at any given age than do non-smokers. Smoking cessation is thus an important part of looking younger. Treatments Topical Treatment for Aging Skin Care with BIOSKINCARE BIOSKINCARE is made with the ONLY serum found in NATURE created by a little creature endowed with the ability to cope with (a) daily exposure to trillions of free radicals from a variety of sources: the sun's ultraviolet rays, pollution, harsh weather, and external stress while it thrives exposed nude to the sun rays and the hazards of the environment, pretty much like we merry around exposing our nude face; (b) keep its skin permanently moisturized, and; (c) regenerate its skin and even parts of some of its other organs whenever damaged. To moisturize, protect, repair and achieve healthier cell regeneration this little creature produces a serum that it bathes onto its skin. Scientific breakdown has characterized the fluid as a complex compound of glyco or sugar chain molecules bound to proteins, peptides, enzymes, co-enzymes and oligoelements with strong biological activity. The same molecules are present in human skin when skin is injured, specially in younger people, where skin wounds heal quickly and without aberrant scarring, but are scarce or in inadequate proportions in adults.
Treatment of Aging Skin and Age Spots BIO SKIN REJUVENATION is made with the same ingredients as BIOSKINCARE and it additionally blocks melanin synthesis and reduces the formation of unwanted pigmentation, allowing control over skin tone and age spots. The cream includes a human growth factor peptide, (nonapeptide 1) derived from the melanocyte-stimulating-hormone (MSH). It blocks melanin synthesis and reduces the formation of unwanted pigmentation, allowing control over skin tone and brown spots. Melanocyte Stimulating Hormone (MSH) is a peptide hormone produced by the pituitary gland. When your body is exposed to sunlight MSH is produced to stimulate production and release of melanin (melanogenesis) by melanocytes in skin and hair. The ingredient in the cream is a biomimetic peptide that takes the place of the natural ligand (alpha-MSH) on its specific receptor (MC1-R) and then blocks the melanin synthesis. Peptides are made up of individual amino acids that are linked together like a pearl necklace. These are differentiated into oligopeptides (2-10 amino acids) and polypeptides (10-100 amino acids). Biomimetic peptides are identical to the skin's peptides. They act on the physiological mechanisms of the skin with a high specificity. Oligopeptides and polypeptides fulfill important tasks as hormones (peptide hormone) or as neurotransmitters or neuromodulators (neuropeptides). Skin pigmentation and tanning are related to the amount and distribution of melanin in epidermal melanosomes. The epidermis cell population includes keratinocytes and the melanocytes that supply the keratinocytes with melanosomes, i.e., melanin containing pigment granules, via dendritic processes. Melanin is a dark pigment that is produced by the oxidation of tyrosine to dopa and dopaquinone by the enzyme tyrosinase, to produce compounds that polymerize to form melanin. Ingredients that inhibit tyrosinase enzyme activity are derived from plants that are native to the northern Canadian prairie region. Rumex extracts are included which are capable of inhibiting the production of the enzyme tyrosinase, leading to clearer complexion and a reduction in skin pigmentation. They do this by limiting both melanin production (tan) and skin reddening (erythema). Visible signs of color reduction in age spots are observed after 3 weeks. BIOSKINREJUVENATION regulates pigmentation tone for the total skin surface, lightening the complexion, and blocking the deleterious effects on the appearance caused by certain endocrine disorders. And it is a safe product for achieving such regulation of epidermal pigmentation tone. It helps with a number of localized hyperpigmentation disorders. These include pigmented spots such as freckles, solar lentigines (also called liver spots), acanthosis nigricans (a hypermelanotic disorder), cafe-au-lait spots, moles, and melasma (localized post-partum darkening of the skin).
